Reims is known for two things: its Cathedral and Champagne. It’s true they describe well the city’s landmark. However, there’s more to the city than that. It’s a human-sized small city that mixes medieval and modern well as you walk its streets and districts. It’s only 1h30 away Paris and if you’re driving North-East then Reims is on your way.<\/p>\n

The abbey of Saint-Remi was built in the sixth century and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The venue is big and hosts a baroque music festival in August every year.<\/p>\n

If you’re an Art Deco lover, then you have to visit the Carnegie Library of Reims. The library was built after World War I with the money of Andrew Carnegie. The luxury building features some beautiful mosaics and Art Deco stained glass.<\/p>\n

A walk on rue Colbert will lead you straight to the city hall.<\/p>\n

Many champagne houses to visit in Reims.\u00a0Champagne Taittinger<\/strong><\/a> is one of them. They are located South-East of the city center.<\/p>\n

EAT<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Located in the city centre at 43 Boulevard Foch, C\u00f4t\u00e9 Cuisine<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(<\/em>33 3 26 83 93 68)<\/em>\u00a0<\/span>took us by surprise. The quality of service and food struck us as much as the beautiful settings. The staff was wonderful and showed a lot of care to our 3-year old. The 3 or 4 service menu featured classical French cuisine.<\/p>\n

SLEEP<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Although Reims is a small city, hotels can be expensive in the downtown core. You can avoid big brands and go for an apartment hotel. Appart’City<\/strong><\/a> has two locations in Reims. One in the city centre<\/strong><\/a> and another one in the Parc des Expositions.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n
