AC Hotel by Marriott Wroclaw: some great reasons to stay here

Location

The AC Hotel by Marriott Wroclaw is located in the city’s old town at Plac Wolnosci 10. It’s a 10-minute drive from Wrocław–Copernicus Airport (WRO). You can hop on a city bus at the airport for C$1 (3 PLN on way), otherwise a taxi ride will cost you C$23 (70 PLN).

Check-in

Check-in was swift and efficient. I got to the AC Hotel by Marriott Wroclaw at 1pm and the front desk agent upgraded me from a Standard guest room with king bed to a Comfort King bed room. It’s a larger room with a bigger living room area.

AC Hotel is a Marriott brand with 83 hotels across the globe. It’s growing fast in the US and is expanding beyond it’s Spanish roots.

The Comfort King bed room is more spacious and features a large living area. The same can be said of the bathroom, spacious and well lit.

Dining

I’m only a Marriott Bonvoy Gold member. Therefore, no breakfast. Breakfast buffet is available from 70 PLN or C$23. Which is a lot for a Category 3 hotel and for Poland. I went for breakfast (eggs & coffee) in local cafés for C$8.

On the dinner front, the Fuego Restaurant offers some interesting cuisine options and a respectable wine bar.

Swimming pool & AC by Sand SPA

The swimming pool is convenient. It’s heated, shallow and located in the basement of the property. The dim light allows to relax either in the water or on the long chair.

The AC by Sand SPA delivers different treatments including: facials, massages, body wrap, body scrub & stream room. I paid $75 for a 1h full-body massage.

How much I paid

It cost 17,500 Marriott Bonvoy points per night. I was hoping a drop to 15,000 but Marriott’s new dynamic pricing was kind of misleading. Each property has its own high and low season and high and low demand whatever the season.

It would’ve been nice to save 7,500 Marriott Bonvoy points on the 3-night stay. I suppose it’s a learning process.

Verdict

It’s hard to beat AC Hotel Wroclaw‘s location. In the heart of old town, you can rent a bicycle with the hotel for $20 for a 6-hour period.
