The InterContinental Warsaw is an iconic property in the Polish capital. I could not wait to stay at this IHG property and share this review.
Booking the InterContinental Warsaw stay
The average rate was $250. I was able to book a regular room thanks to my IHG points balance. It cost 35,000 IHG points. A few days after booking the room, I got an Upgrade email offer. Basically for €46 I could be upgraded to a Club Room which entitles my family and I to the Club lounge. This meant complimentary breakfast, drinks and dinner in the evening. I took it!
Check-in
Check-in was short and swift. The front desk agent told me the good news: my upgrade request went through and we got a Club room on the 38th floor. Credit card swiped, key cards in hand, off we got to the elevator.

The Club Lounge
The Club Lounge however was luxurious and well-designed. We received a warm welcome from the Lounge Manager as we got in with our baby boy. It was past 7pm and dinner was being served until 8pm. The lounge was full with mostly businessmen and very few leisure travellers.
The furniture was classic and comfortable, the small warm buffer offered Polish cuisine choices: pirogis with mushroom and cheese, fish in a bechamel sauce and Zupa grzybowa (mushroom soup). Cheese, pickled food and a yummy selection of Polish pastries were also available.
The swimming pool
The swimming pool is the other highlight of the property, it is situated in the top floor along with the gym and the Spa. The pool’s big enough to host an aqua-class and free-swimming simultaneously. But nothing beats the view one gets during the swim.
Verdict
If you intend on visiting Warsaw, I strongly recommend a stay in the InterContinental Warsaw. Room prices vary from $200 to $300 on average, depending on season. But you can also use 35,000 IHG points to redeem a free night.
